Through Our Eyes
Celebrating Canada’s 150th, in Community Art Projects
Grimsby Public Art Gallery will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with a series of exhibitions that will take place in the Gallery lobby exhibition space throughout the year. Exhibitions will include the works and ideas from a broad range of community members and groups expressing diverse themes around Canada and Canadian heritage. Successful proposals will emphasize celebration, inclusion and participation.
Regional artists are invited to submit project proposals; these can be, but are not limited to
exhibition proposals that include a workshop component, projects that provide mentorship
opportunities, or group projects that generate a collaborative piece. GPAG is particularly
interested in proposals that will engage the Government of Ontario’s priority groups
(Indigenous, Francophone, LGBTQ, older adults and seniors, multicultural communities,
new Canadians, and persons with disabilities) or proposals from individuals who identify as
members of these communities.
