The Great Canadian Snow Art Challenge: Open Call!

Canada is 150 years old and one thing we can guarantee is that in every one of those 150 years there has been snow. To celebrate 150 years of this most Canadian of substances we challenge creative Canadians, young and old, individually or in groups, to create Snow Art.

What is Snow Art? You tell us! Slip on your woollies, lace up your boots, get outside and create. Document your creations and/or your creative process with photographs or video and submit them to GPAG. We will post all submissions that meet our criteria on-line as they arrive https://www.instagram.com/thegpag/ . A jury of local artists will select the most interesting pieces to be displayed in Last Blast of Winter  in the Library/Art Gallery lobby in April.

And since you probably need to have snow to make snow art, you have all winter to create. Submission deadline is March 20.

For more information or to submit images, please email gpag@grimsby.ca

Please make sure to include your name, address, phone number and email with your submissions.
