Art House Café Lecture Series: Keynote Speaker October 23!

The Grimsby Public Art Gallery is proud to launch its
2016-2017 Art House Café Lecture Series!

This year, our keynote speaker is Jennifer Matotek, the director and curator of the Dunlop Art Gallery in Regina, Saskatchewan

Jennifer Matotek, originally from Grimsby and a one-time summer student at GPAG, has collaboratively curated a variety of exhibitions – in the context of artists working together with each other; artists working with the public; and curators working together to present a myriad of perspectives.

Curating collaborative: presenting
contemporary art from myriad
perspectives, together

Hosted by the Gallery in the Library’s periodical reading room, the Art House Café Lecture Series provides an opportunity for young scholars to present their research in a Parisian café ambiance of sharing inspiration and
cultivating ideas. Founded in 2012 by Maeve Hanna, The Art House Café Lecture Series is dedicated to the  memory of Pat and Edith Brown.   Each lecture is followed by light refreshments, providing a relaxed atmosphere to encourage discussion of the ideas that have been presented.
