Navigating Niagara with Jordyn Stewart: TOMORROW NIGHT!

In proud partnership with Station 1 Coffeehouse, The Grimsby Public Art Gallery is honoured to be Station 1's charity of the month for August.

To help us celebrate, we're having a special artist talk
with a Niagara-based emerging video and
performance artist, Jordyn Stewart!
Inspired by the bodies relationship with its surrounding environments, she creates site-responsive performances.

Join us August 30th at 7pm at Station 1 Coffeehouse; Admission is Free!

About Jordyn Stewart

Jordyn Stewart is an emerging artist from the Niagara Region. Coming from a small town, she adopts child-like fascinations and curiosities from her upbringing. Now, immersed in developing urban environments she investigates the materials found within these spaces in search for the familiar. Working predominantly in video and performance she creates site-sensitive performances.

Stewart received her BA, Specialist in Art and Art History at University of Toronto, joint program with Sheridan College. She has most recently exhibited works at Trinity Square Video and Hamilton Artists’ Inc. Stewart completed the Emerging Artist Research Residency at University of Windsor this past May and is now an artist in residence in the Hamilton Artists’ Inc. Cotton Factory Residency Program. She is currently interning with Art Spin and assisting with in/future this fall.
