CULTURE CAMP ~ A TASTE OF ART 
JULY 4-8 (ALL DAY)

Each day we will explore a different art style to give participants a wide variety of experiences. 
Try your hand at painting, drawing, sculpting and much more! A great introductory class to try out, but also suitable for a young experienced artist. 


LEGO MAKER WEEK 
JULY 4-8
AGES 8-12 ~ 1:30PM-4PM

Take your love of Lego to the next level with a whole week of Lego maker projects. Join the many artists around the world have used Lego for its wide range of creative possibilities. Activities will include Lego sculpture, and Lego stop-motion animation. Registration for this partnered program is through the Art Gallery – 905.945.3246


SUPERHERO ART WEEK
JULY 11-15
AGES 5-8 ~ 9:30AM-12PM 
AGES 8-12 ~ 1:30PM-4PM

Using clay, paint and mixed media, participants can re-create their own superheroes or create their OWN.  This fun week will focus on our favourite caped beings while introducing fun art techniques and applications.

This week we will explore how water can be used in art to create images or form objects.  A creative, fun week with an interesting spin that is hands on but also thought provoking


WILD ANIMAL SAFARI!

What kid doesn’t love animals? For those students with an equal love of wildlife and the Arts, this week will explore the captivating world of zoology through works of art inspired by their favourite beasts! 



CREATIVE COMIC MAKERS
AUGUST 2-5

The Grimsby Public Art Gallery and the Grimsby Public Library invite you to  come explore the wonderful world of comics, character creation, and book-related arts. Through an exciting combination of literacy and creativity, students will create artworks and stories to share!

We will explore how we can use images to create art.  From guided painting, to more abstract ideas, the before and afters will be fun to compare.  Another fun and creative week that will expand your child’s creativity and concepts of art.


FANTASY ART WEEK
AUGUST 15-19 
AGES 5-8 ~ 9:30AM-12PM 
AGES 8-12 ~ 1:30PM-4PM

In a land far, far away, on a street named  Carnegie Lane, brave heroes and crafty villains will gather to  create wondrous works inspired by legends and myths of old. This is the perfect week for Fantasy-loving students!

This art filled week will be nature inspired.  We will use items from nature for creating projects, and we will create nature inspired projects!

SCULPTURE WEEK
AUGUST 8-12 

Students will be working with Clay, found objects and more to learn the fundamentals of sculpture.  While creativity will be encouraged, participants will learn the traditions of three dimensional art and new ways to approach it.


DRAWING & CARTOONING
JULY 18-22 

Participants will be guided through the exciting world of anime through drawing and painting exercises, drawing techniques and history.


PAINTING WEEK
AUGUST 22-26 

Using Acrylic, tempera, watercolour and mixed media, students will embark on the elements of painting, and the elements of art.  New and traditional techniques will be introduced throughout the duration of the week to create exciting projects.
