This talk will be a personal retelling of how and why Quintin Teszeri went from writing about art to writing art; how his MA in Art History research became his performative piece, Silence - Discourse - Art. The talk will conclude with a reading of Silence – Discourse - Art by Quintin Teszeri, Nicole Clouston, and Syl Teszeri.
Quintin Teszeri is an artist and a writer. He has an MA in Art History from the University of Western Ontario where he is currently completing his MFA in Visual Art. Lately he’s been interested in the inescapability of language, the tenuousness of truth, anarchy, bullshit, poetical embodiment, linguistic corruption, absurdity, skin, finding, taking, deprofessionalization, and recorporealization.
