Call for Entries/Papers: Art House Café Lecture Series!

Upper year undergraduate and graduate students, and recent graduates of Art History or related fields are invited to propose topics to be presented as talks for the Art House Café Lecture Series at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery. This series is devoted to the cultivation and sharing of ideas, and aims to promote both the study of art history and the research of emerging scholars throughout Ontario. Lectures will be presented once a month from January to April 2016, following a keynote talk in late fall 2015.   A small honorarium will be paid to each speaker. Please note that although we welcome proposals from across Ontario, we are currently not able to provide assistance with travel costs.

Hosted in the Grimsby Public Library’s Periodical Reading Room, the Art House Café Lecture Series is free to the public, and a café reception will follow each talk.
The Art House Café Lecture Series is dedicated to the memory of Pat and Edith Brown, two dedicated members of the arts community in Grimsby and long-time supporters of the Grimsby Public Art Gallery. The series is run in partnership with the Grimsby Public Library.

Please include the following information with your proposal: Contact information:   This includes your university affiliation,
level of study, address, phone number and email address. Title: This may be an initial working title. Abstract:
A brief description of your proposed
paper should be no more than 500 words. Ensure that your name does not appear on the abstract itself,
as the entries will be juried.

Abstracts will be assessed by a committee of arts professionals from the local community.
