Welcome Megan!

Every year the GPAG hires two to three Summer Students thanks to Young Canada Works. Three positions are usually available: Summer Studio Instructor, Collections Management Assistant and Summer Studio Assistant. These jobs are an excellent opportunity for full-time students looking to gain some valuable experience as they work towards a career in the Arts (please note that all available positions at the gallery have been filled).

Welcome and congratulations to Megan Lewis our new Summer Studio Instructor for 2012!

Megan is currently majoring in Psychology and minoring in Fine Art at Nipissing University with plans to attend teachers' college in the Fall of 2012. She has been a Daycamp Leader for the Town of Grimsby, a gymnastics coach, and is involved in an art therapy program- People for Equal Partnership in Mental Health.

A few words from Megan:

Hi everyone!
I’m Megan Lewis, the summer instructor for this year. I am going to teachers college and have a minor in fine arts. I feel that art, in its variety of mediums, is a great skill that everyone can learn. I am looking forward to a creative, exciting summer and since lesson planning is already well underway, I have no doubt that it will be! Brigitte and I will be frequently updating this blog with photos and captions of the summer art classes.

Look forward to meeting you all soon!

Registration is open for all Summer classes and Workshops. Please visit the "Classes" section of this blog for more information and call 905-945-3246 to register.
